Can the Dutton-Lainson Strong Arm Winch Be Mounted to a Boat Trailer Upside Down

Question:

Can this winch be under mounted upside down? My manual winch is mounted below the winch plate and given the ring location on my boat there really isn’t any other option. Trailer is a Pacific Trailer with a Grady White 208.

Yes. There's no reason that the Dutton-Lainson Strong Arm Winch # DL25215 can't be mounted upside down as long as the winch strap isn't rubbing on anything. The capacity of the winch won't be affected with this mounting method, so there's really nothing to be concerned about. I did confirm this with my tech contact over at Dutton-Lainson, as well.
