It sounds like you might have a Roadmaster Comfort Ride system like the # RM-2460 that is designed for 5200-lbs to 7000-lbs axles. To replace the shocks on this system you'll need to use the Replacement Shock Absorber for Roadmaster Comfort Ride Trailer Suspension System - Qty 1 # RM-204000-00. This system was designed to work on axles that are 3" in diameter, which is the typical diameter of a 5200 or 7000-lbs axle. You will likely want to check the capacity of your axle to confirm which Comfort Ride system is on your trailer.
If you have another shock system and can let me know what kind it is I'm happy to look to see if we have shocks that can be used with it. I've also linked some review and installation videos of these parts for you to check out.
