Brake Controller and Install for 2018 Chevy Colorado with Tow Package

Question:

My vehicle is a Z71 2018 chevy Colorado with the tow package does this vehicle have a oem trailer brake already built in and what do I need to do to mhave trailer brakes when towing my trailer thanks

Your 2018 Chevy Colorado does have brake controller wiring to allow an install of one to be as simple as possible but it does not actually have a brake controller so you'd need one. Our Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 is a really great option that's reliable, proportional, and priced great.

The brake controller wiring on your truck is present under the dash which you'd wire the controller to. I attached an install video of a similar brake controller installed on a Colorado like yours.
