This Rhino Rack system has aerodynamic roof bars to help reduce wind noise and both the towers and the bars can be locked to the vehicle. To add locks to the bars to replace the included plastic locks you can use the # RRVA-LEC4; the towers come with steel locks included.

To carry kayaks over anything other than a short trip I do recommend adding kayak carriers to give you a more stable mode of travel; the Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier - Folding - Universal Mount # S512 are a great choice that will clamp to the crossbars. If you want to mount them in the C-channels on the aero cross bars to use the security features you'll need the Crossbar Adapters for Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carriers S510, S511, and S512 # KC-FK8 since the carriers cannot be locked with the clamps.
