Thanks for the info, though the Reese Elite 5th wheel hitch is not compatible with the puck system on your 2020 Chevy Silverado 2500, and there isn't any type of adapter. So you will need a new 5th wheel hitch for your Chevy, and while I know this isn't the news you were looking for, you should be able to offset much of the cost by selling the Elite, seeing as how it is only a few years old. To replace the Elite for your Chevy, the best option is going to be from Curt:
- Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for Chevy/GMC Towing Prep Package # C84FR
This hitch fits directly in the puck system of your Silverado without any type of adapter needed. The A20 is one of the most popular 5th wheel hitches available for a number of reasons, including its robust dual jaw system and color-coded lock indicator, which gives you a hitch that is both easy to use and allows a comfortable towing experience.
The A20 # C84FR will give you a highly secure connection with your trailer due to its interlocking dual jaw system that wraps totally around the king pin. This means that the back-and-forth chucking, bucking and jarring that you get when towing with lesser hitches won't occur with the A20, so you can go on your journey more peacefully.
The indicator system I mentioned is a nice feature because it lets you know if the jaws on the hitch are ready to couple, uncouple or tow. The A20 even has a fully articulating head which eases the coupling process, and built-in zerk fittings so you can lube the hitch really easily.
I have added a link below to a video review for you to check out as well of the Curt A20 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C84FR.
