Helpful Expert Reply:

The closest tire size to the 6.5-16LT tires currently on your trailer is the ST235/80R16 like what is found on the Castle Rock ST235/80R16 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 16" Silver Mod Wheel - 8 on 6-1/2 - Load Range E # LHACK133.

This tire will be right at 1" taller, but nearly 3" wider. To make sure this size tire will fit you will need to make sure that from the top of your current tires to the bottom of the fender is at least 3-1/2", and from the inside of your current tire to the frame of your trailer will need to be at least 2-1/2" to make sure you have enough clearance to allow the suspension to work as designed.

Now the correct wheel will be dependent on the bolt pattern of your hubs. The # LHACK133 mentioned uses the 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern, but your trailer may use the 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern in which case you would want the # AM34834 instead.

I included a link to a helpful article that goes over how to measure your bolt pattern, and a video review of the # LHACK133 for you to take a look at.
