Why Does 5th Wheel Rail Adapter From 2019 Silverado 2500 Not Fit New 2021 Sierra 2500 Puck System?

Question:
Traded trucks from 2019 Chevrolet 2500HD to 2021 GMC 2500HD. I have the proper rail and bracket kit for the 2019 and it doesn’t fit. Help me get the right kit for 2021 truck. Thanks in advance

It sounds like you are talking about the rail adapter that installs into the OEM puck system and allows you to use a 5th wheel hitch for industry standard rails.
The reason the rail adapter from your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD does not fit the pucks of your 2021 GMC Sierra 2500HD is due to GM changing there puck system in 2020.
The correct adapter for your new truck is the Demco 5th Wheel Rail Adapter for Chevy/GMC OEM 5th Wheel Towing Prep Package - 21K # DM6333.
