Does the Yakima HangOver Work with Fat Tire Bikes?

I am considering the Yakima vertical 6 bike rack hitch bike rack and likely the Yakima Swing hinge addition. One of my sons has a Specialized 24 fat tire bike I think it has 2.8 or 3 with tires. Does the lower ratchet work for these larger fat tire bikes?

Yes! The ratcheting strap on the Yakima HangOver 6 # Y02485 that secures the lower tires can fit fat tire bikes with wheel widths of up to 4.8 inches. Some fat tires do come in 5" widths though, so just make sure that's not the case with your son's bike and you're good to go.
One thing to note is that the Yakima BackSwing Swing Away Hitch Extender # Y02483 works with the Yakima Hangover 4 # Y02484 but not the 6-bike version.
