I have a solution for you for a tailgate lift assist on your 1994 Ford F-150 but the DeeZee Tailgate Assist Custom Tailgate-Lowering System # DZ43203 is designed to fit 1997 models and newer.
I recommend installing the Hopkins EasyLift Truck Bed Tailgate Lift Assist # 74211. This kit will accomplish the same task of allowing you to lower your tailgate lowly. The Hopkins EasyLift will help to make the tailgate feel lighter to when closing it.
