The owner's manual for your vehicle states that chains aren't recommended for tires mounted on wheels larger than 18 inches in diameter. In many cases, vehicle manufacturers who list such prohibitions are fine with you using cable chains which sit much tighter to the tire and typically won't endanger suspension or brake components located to the inside of the wheels. I'd recommend checking with your Volvo dealer for clarification.
If you get the okay for cables, I'd recommend the Titan Chain Diagonal Alloy Cables, part # TC735DC. The diagonal pattern keeps more of the cables in contact with the road surface at all times, providing better lateral stability and a smoother ride. The set includes two cable chains and two adjusters which keep the cables under tension so they fit more tightly to the tire.
If your dealer puts the kibosh on using cable chains Titan also offers snow socks, part # TCH72. The fabric that the socks are constructed of actually cause snow to stick to it which provides more traction. Keep in mind that just like any chain/cable, these aren't meant for use on bare pavement.
I've linked to demonstration videos for the products recommended above.
