Question:
Which of your thin surface mount trailer lights do you consider to be the best? Thank you

Expert Reply:
The best surface-mounted, thin trailer tail light is an LED light from Optronics:
- GloLight LED Trailer Tail Light # STL178RB
This is the best light for a number of reasons, starting with its 22 diodes, which will give it a brighter, more visible look than similar lights. It also has an LED circuit board designed specifically to resist shock which allows it to hold up over time, and it is completely waterproof which means no matter the weather - or even if you submerge it if you have a boat trailer - the lights won't short out.
The GloLight is also easy to install, using a 3-wire design, and you can connect the wires with butt connectors, the Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connectors - 16-14 Gauge # DW05744-5.
I have added some links below to video reviews for you to check out as well of the GloLight LED Trailer Tail Light # STL178RB.
