Question:
Hello. I am building a dummy tag axle for a ford f350 project. Is it possible to purchase the Timbren ASR400S02 system, but with the #42 spindles, thus allowing me to use with your 42865-kit. That being wheel hubs 8 0n 6.5 that match the Ford standard wheel. I dont want to use the 7000 lb axle system because I do Not want the tag to carry any load. Thank you for time. Mike Reynolds.

Here is what I would recommend. While all your options would require a lot of modification, the Timbren ASR400S02 only offers 1" of deflection (suspension travel) which would more than likely be easily damaged when driven. I would say to use the Timbren # ASR1THDS01. It offers the most deflection of 3-3/8". That should limit the chance of damage when the main suspension does travel.
Timbren doesn't offer any #42 spindles for for this particular item. I recommend having #42 Spindle # TRU57FR fabricated on in place of the OE spindle. This should help you to set your wheel offset as well.
Then you will be able to use the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # 42865-KIT that has your 8 on 6.5" bolt pattern.
