Question:

I am looking to purchase a Tekonsha prodigy P3 proportional trailer brake controller. I have a 2007 dodge ram 2500 mega cab with a 5.9 diesel engine. The truck does have the factory tow package. I am curious as to which pigtail I need to buy for plug-and-play.

Since your 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab Diesel came with the factory tow package you will need the the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers - Dodge # 3020-P.

This will plug into the factory trailer brake controller port under the dash and plug directly into the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 for a simple install.
