Hi, Im a paddler that regularly carries 2 or 3 canoes Im shopping for vehicles and racks. Looking at a 2021 Toyota 4Runner. Would like to put Thule square bars or other suggested bars on factory roof rails or mount similar support system using 4runner mounting points to support two 72 wide bars. Will this work or do you have another suggestion. one concern is how far back on the vehicle the racks are placed. Thanks,

Yakima has their Jetstream roof rack that fits your 2021 Toyota 4Runner with raised roof rails. To do a 70 inch crossbar setup you'd need two of the crossbars # 8880653 and the tower kit part # Y33TR and you'd be set.
There isn't a square bar setup that would fit and be the length you want.
