Could this kit be fitted to the rear hatch door of an SUV such as a 2009 Honda Pilot?

A Rear View Safety Camera will work on your 2009 Honda Pilot, but the tailgate versions # RVS-718-TAILGATE you're looking at is not the one you want to get. This kit # RVS-772718 is a flush mounting kit and will work with your Honda Pilot. If you have on star buttons on your Pilot, you will loose that function so be prepared for that.
If you wanted something a bit more simple to set up and able to move around to different vehicles, I would recommend getting the Swift Hitch # SH02Digital as it's much easier to set up. Check out my video to see how easy!
