Question:
I am looking for a rear view mirror monitor and camera for a 2003 Tacoma. I want a constant view with parking guidance switchable on/off. I dont need a dash cam and VCR features. Just need a good day and night viewing option. Any recommendations? Thanks.

The best rearview mirror monitor we offer for a 2003 Toyota Tacoma is the Rear View Safety Tailgate Handle Backup Camera and Rear View Mirror with Monitor part # RVS-718-TAILGATE. This will replace you existing rearview mirror and provide you with a mirror and monitor combo. The camera then gets mounted to the tailgate handle like most factory backup cameras are.
Unfortunately, these camera systems are designed to be used for backup only so if you wish to use this as an observation system you'll need to modify the wiring. The running light circuit is commonly used on similar observation camera systems so it may work well for you as well.
