Hi! I am looking for a Blue Ox base plate for my 1987 chevy K-5 Blazer. Its the big old blazer. The ones I see listed are both the smaller s-10 blazer and road master configurations. Got anything? THANKS!

I may have another option for you, but Blue Ox does not offer a base plate kit for your 1987 Chevrolet Blazer Full Size.

Currently the only base plate kit confirmed to fit your vehicle is the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style Base Plate Kit # 108-1. This base plate will pair nicely with the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar # RM-520.

To complete your flat tow setup you would need the following parts if you do not already have them:

Wiring # RM-15267
Safety Cables # RM-643
Supplemental Braking System # BLU37TR

You will also more than likely need a high-low adapter to level the tow bar to your tow vehicle so I have included a link to a helpful article that goes over how to measure for the correct adapter, and a link to all of our high-low adapters for you to take a look at.
