How Far Past Fabric Does 12 Foot Solera RV Slide-Out Awning Go

Question:

how far pas the fabric does the slide out awing are stick out. I have a slide out that is just 4 inches from a awing and would like to get one installed on my cougar 30 rls 2021. can it be offset to miss the awing are of the front awing?

I checked with the manufacturer, and Solera awnings like the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning - 12'1" Wide # LCV000163298 (which fits slide-outs 134" to 139" wide) will extend out 5" past the fabric.

It is also recommended to have at least 7" of clearance on both sides of the slide-out so what you can do is go to the next smaller size, the Solera RV Slide-Out Awning - 11'7" Wide # LCV000139496.

This may leave part of your slide-out not fully covered by the awning, but would be the only option in order to avoid interfering with the awning you currently have. I have added links below to a video review and the instructions for you to check out as well if you'd like.
