Will Thule Hullavator Work With Thule ProBar Evo Crossbars

Question:

hello, I have the probar evo bar 713600 and a pair of hullavators pro 897xt. The problem I am having is that the hullavator does not sit flat on top of the bar as the bar is somewhat tapered for wind resistance. It seems very unstable, is tilted towards the rear and I was wondering if I could send you a picture of what I am talking about so you can try to assist. Ive been in contact with Thule, but they are very slow in responding. the hullavators I have are the 897xt models. It seems there might be a shim to be used with my probar evo. Is this correct? if so, do you have them and also a video on how they are to be used. thanks

I have a replacement option for you, but I reached out to my contact at Thule and he confirmed that the older Thule Hullavator 897XT you have will unfortunately not fit your new Thule ProBar Evo Crossbars # TH713600. He mentioned that unfortunately the Shim # TH56JV you mentioned will not allow the 897XT to work on your crossbars.

Instead I recommend selling your current Hullavators and replacing them with the new Thule Hullavator # TH898 as it will slide into the t-track channels on your ProBar Evo Crossbars # TH713600 which will allow you to get back to transporting your kayaks.
