Will 47" Thule Wingbar Evo Crossbars From 2010 Honda CR-V Work On 2021 Honda CR-V

Question:

I currently have a 2010 Honda CRV. I use the Wingbar Evo TH711220 crossbar, TH460R Rapid Podium Feet, and the related foot kit THKIT3166. I use the Thule Hullivator lift assist system. I am looking to buy a new Honda. Only the Touring package offers a roof rail. The EX and L models no longer have a roof rail option. I have 2 options. 1 Get the Touring package, pay an additional $6000 just to get a roof rail, and then only have to purchase a new footkit I think. 2 Get the standard CRV no rails and purchase all new roof rack. My question is- Will the Wingbar Evo TH711220 47 inches long crossbar work with 2021 Honda CRV instead of purchasing the TH711420 53 inches long?

The 47" Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars # TH711220 you have will work on a 2021 Honda CR-V, but may be too short causing interference with the Thule Hullavator Pro Kayak Carrier # TH898 and your vehicle.

I recommend going ahead and trying the 47" bars, as you will be able to use them and your Feet # TH460R but you will need a new fit kit. Your 2010 Honda CR-V uses Fit Kit # THKIT3042, and the 2021 Honda CR-V uses Fit Kit # THKIT3166.

If you find that you do not have the clearance you need to use the # TH898 you can just purchase new crossbars # TH711420 which will still be more cost effective than buying a new roof rack system.
