Adapter to Go From Blue Ox Tow Bar to Aftermarket Bumper of 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL with D-Rings

Question:

I have the full Blue Ox flat tie kit from my old car. I now have a 2018 Wrangler JL I would like to setup to flat tow. My Jeep has an aftermarket steel bumper with welded on D ring recovery points. Can I use this part in place of the full Blue Ox base plate or do the recovery rings need to be the type that bolt directly to the frame? With this kit do you recommend adding the safety cables that would attach the bumper to the frame? Also with this kit what would you attach the safety cables from the RV to? I would love to save the weight, cost but want to be safe when we tow the Jeep

Since you have a Blue Ox tow bar currently and a 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL you could use the D-ring adapter part # BX88358 to attach to your D-rings.

I'd recommend running the safety chains to the frame of the vehicle as that's the most secure location.
