Does Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver 13250 Require Spare Tire To Be Relocated
Updated 01/25/2021 | Published 01/21/2021 >
Question:
Sorry to bother you but it seems after looking at your web site the tow hitch #13250 you sell fits a 2006 dodge sprinter. One expert there says the spare tire has to be moved a different expert there says it works fine and has a photo. Who should I believe ? I want to save someone some shipping if it has to be returned. Thank you so much.

I can definitely understand your confusion, and in short they are both correct.
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13250 you were looking at is confirmed to fit your 2006 Dodge Sprinter, and will only require tire relocation if you have the 118" wheel base model. If your Sprinter has the 140" or 158" wheel base you will not need to relocate your spare tire.
With that said, if you do have the 118" wheel base model, there is not a trailer hitch receiver offered that will allow you to keep your spare tire in the factory location.
I included a video of the Curt # 13250 being installed on a 2004 Dodge Sprinter for you to take a look at.
