What is Function of Green Wire of Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1240D

I have a question for the indicator wire greenon the redarc bcdc1240d # 331-BCDC1240D. Would the green indicator light be able to connect to a in cab mounted voltmeter and give an accurate display or it is just for an led bulb to power on and off.

The green wire of the Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1240D does not have ability to show varying voltage. It only is capable of on or off for an indicator light.
