I’m looking to get a Thule wingbar evo for my 2020 Honda Civic hatch. My question is do I need to use the 53 or can I opt out for a 50? The 53 looks as if it’ll stick out a lot

Thule recommends going with the 53 inch crossbars as the 50 inch bars won't be quite long enough to attach to the roof rack feet.
To assemble a rack system for your Civic using the # TH711400 WingBar Evo crossbars you'd looked at (also available in black as part # TH711420), you'll also need the # TH710501 Evo clamp feet and the # TH145043 vehicle specific fit kit.
