Have Reese 30031 14k 5th wheel hitch and need rails for 2019 RAM classic 5 1/2’ bed, suggestions.

The Reese 30031 is nice in that it is designed to fit any vehicle with a set of industry standard fifth wheel rails. The correct fit for your truck is Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit # RP50142-58.

I highly recommend these rails since they are custom fit for your 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. This means that the brackets are vehicle specific to minimize any drilling or measuring. However, if you want a slightly less expensive option, then the Reese Semi-Custom Base Rail and Installation Kit # RP30035-523 is also a good fit. This will involve a little more drilling into your truck bed.

Since you have a short bed 5-1/2' truck bed, the Reese Sidewinder 5th Wheel King Pin with Rotating Turret # RP34FR is required for turning clearance. This pin box replaces the Lippert 1716, 1116, and the 0115 pin boxes and others you can find in the description. It has a rotating turret so the pin box locks at the hitch and rotates at the trailer. Your model number should be located on your current pin box so you want to make sure this is the direct replacement. This will give enough clearance for a complete 90 degree turn with your short bed.
