What is the Wall Thickness of the Everchill 17 cu/ft Refrigerator

Updated 12/15/2020 | Published 12/08/2020

Question:

1. Can you provide the wall thickness for this product? 2. Also, I am aware of the stated Amps and Voltage. But I am unable to conclude the watts per hour used? Since I am trying to establish what our solar needs will be to run this refrigerator this is a necessity. I was not able to get this answer from the company that produces the product. They only claim that 120 Watts of solar feeding at least 2 deep cycle batteries will cover the needs. Your time in this is greatly appreciated.

For the Everchill # WAY44FR, the door thickness will be 3" and the wall thickness is 1-1/2". Power consumption on the fridge will vary depending on how often it is opened and what settings it is set at, but my contact at Way Interglobal (who supply this unit) says that the average consumption will be about 72w per hour. That means you're going to use roughly 1700w of power on your fridge each day.

If you haven't decided on a solar power system, you're definitely going to need a fairly substantial with a large battery bank to be able to provide enough power just to keep the fridge running for a few days; I recommend looking at a system like the Go Power Solar AE-6 All Electric System with 3 MPPT Solar Controllers - 1,140 Watt Solar Panels # 342-75011. This system requires at least 4 batteries and in good conditions would provide most of the electricity you'd need with minimal drain on your house batteries.

I've linked a review video of this system for you to check out.
