I recommend going with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13355 you were looking at which is a confirmed fit for your 2000 Ford F-150 King Cab Stepside 4x4.
The Curt # 13355 offers a superior black powdercoat finish to resist scratches and chipping, offers a 600lb maximum tongue weight rating and 6000lb maximum trailer weight capacity without weight distribution, and 1000lb maximum tongue weight raiting and 10000lb maximum trailer weight rating with weight distribution.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a ball mount, hitch ball, hitch pin and clip, and trailer wiring.
I highly recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900 which includes two ball mounts, two hitch balls, two hitch pin and clips, and a carrying case.
If you need trailer wiring I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118344.
I included videos of all of the products mentioned for you to take a look at.
