Is a Tail Light Converter Needed When Using a # 118384 with a Trailer With Combined Tail Lights

Question:
Do I need a converter to go from my factory 7 pin socket to a 4 pin flat plug on my trailer? Note: trailer has combo lights, does not have separate turn signal.

The 4-Pole Trailer Adapter # 118384 that you referenced will not require a converter to be used with your trailer that has combined tail lights. The 4-way will have the correct voltage on the 4 circuits to be used with your trailer.
GM will have already converted the signal from the separate signals like what are on your 2006 Chevy Silverado tail lights to a combined tail light circuit.
