I am looking for a solution for my 2018 F150 super crew cab with 5.5 bed. I like the Yakima adjustable ladder rack and manual retrax bed cover. Also, I race triathlons and would like a solution for mounting bike just above bed cover. Not sure if I could use Yakima crossbars and side bars. with a fork mount. or if i could mount something in retrax rails with yakima crossbars. Is the Yakima load extender that goes into hitch compatible with the lower height of the adjustable Yakima ladder rack. please advise.

To add a Tonneau cover to your 2018 Ford F-150 that is compatible with adding a low profile adjustable ladder rack and excepts a bike rack I recommend the RetraxPRO XR Hard Tonneau Cover w/ Trax Rails - Retractable - Aluminum - Matte Item # RTT-80373. This cover is a manually retractable cover with t-slot on the side rails to accommodate the Yakima OutPost HD Overland Truck Bed Rack w/ Tonneau Cover Adapter - 68" HD Crossbars Item # Y01152-5868. To add a fork mounted bike rack I recommend the Yakima ForkLift Roof Mounted Bike Carrier - Fork Mount Item # Y02098. This rack is a clamp on style that works with the Yakima crossbars on the ladder rack. As far as a hitch mounted load extender I recommend the Yakima LongArm Bed and Roof Load Extender for 2" Hitches - Aluminum - 165 lbs Item # Y01149-1150. This extender, from the hitch at it's lowest setting, is 11" so it would work great for lower height of the ladder rack.
