I have a solution for you, but the # TX5511-CVR you're looking at is designed to replace the tarp on the Truxedo LoPro # TX551101, which is designed for a step-side bed that is 6'-6" long. Instead, you'll want the # TX5806-COVER which fits the corresponding Truxedo Lo Pro for your 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 5-1/2 foot - with part # TX580601.
