Are More Brackets Than 58186 Needed for 5th Wheel Rails on 2005 Dodge Ram 3500
Updated 10/30/2020 | Published 10/29/2020 >
Question:
I recently bought a used Ram 3500. It had 5th wheel rails in it at one time, and Id like to reinstall. It does have existing brackets for the rear rail. I have identified the brackets as Reese RP58186. There are no brackets under the bed for the front rail. Are they necessary, and if so, what Reese product compliments the aforementioned part?

You will need additional brackets for your 2005 Dodge Ram 3500 to go with the Reese Mounting Bracket Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches - Dodge Ram # RP58186.
What you will need is the brackets - as well as the install hardware and base rails - that come with the Reese Universal Base Rails and Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP30035.
