Question:

I am interested in purchasing this base plate, and I understand that it will replace the large tow hooks on my H3? However, when not in use will the hooks fit the bolt pattern where the tow bar mounts just for looks? Also, I currently have a Blue Ox # BX7420 10,000lb tow bar I use to tow my Silverado. Will it also fit this base plate?

I called Demco on your behalf, and the Demco Classic Base Plate Kit, part # DM9518193, is indeed a good base plate for a 2008 Hummer H3 and, more importantly, compatible with your Blue Ox Avail Tow Bar, part # BX7420. According to them, no adapter is needed.

Unfortunately, once you have installed this base plate, the hooks will have to stay off. At the point, the only way to mount your hooks back onto the Hummer is to uninstall the base plate and reinstall the hooks.
