Question:
I need to replace a DL B1200 brake winch on a rohn 25 fold over tower. I am thinking about your low priced 2000 model elect winch. The pull weight is only about 330 lbs. Will the dynamic brake be dependable for when the tower is lowered? To raise the tower the winch would pull or wind up, to lower the tower the spool will be letting out the cable. Thanks

The 12-volt Superwinch LT2000 Electric Utility Winch, # 1120210, has a 2000-pound line pull capacity, which is well within your 330-pound load requirements. However, the dynamic braking on this item is not recommended for your application.
Dynamic braking systems are intended primarily for direct pull requirements such as pulling a boat or car onto a trailer. Your hoisting application would likely put too much stress on the drum. Also, please note that the 153:1 gear ratio equates to a line speed of only 2.5 feet per minute.
Your application may still be better served by a hand-crank Brake Winch, such as Dutton-Lainson Heavy Duty Brake Winch # DL10808. The 75-pound minimum load and 1200-pound maximum capacity are suited to your 330-pound load requirement. Please note that this item does not include the Hand Winch Cable; we suggest a 50-foot cable, rated at 2500-pounds, part # DL24045. You will also need the corresponding Cable Fastener, part # DL24361, which is compatible with the 7/16 inch cable.
