Question:
When I bought the trailer 1 and half years ago there are tires of Unaroyal load rate E . When I came home from the coast I lost all the tread on 1 tire , but it didnt go flat . I made it home in the dark with the tire that looks like a steel tire shining . My trip was about 200 miles long this time. The size of my tires are 245/75/R16 . What size of tire should I get my 5thwheel 31 feet long and dry load is 12.400 pounds? There is not a lot of room for the tires and has only about 2 inches apart with the 245/75/R16-E My trailer is a 31 foot holaday Rambler Alumascape with 3 slides on it. It is a 04 year .

Normally, you will want to get the tires that are recommended by the trailer manufacturer. But if you go to a larger size then make sure there is room above AND behind the existing tires. A wider tire could end up rubbing the frame or another component.
I did some research on a Uniroyal 245/75-16 load range E tire and found that it is rated for 3,042 pounds. So 4 of them would have a capacity of 12,168 pounds, less than the 12,400 pound capacity you have stated. Going with a higher capacity tire to meet or exceed the gross trailer weight is recommended.
The tires you have on now are light truck tires, not uncommon on some larger trailers. If you have a 6 to 7-1/2 inch wide wheel (measured from bead seat to bead seat) then you can replace the tires with something like an ST235/85-16, # AM10501. It has a capacity of 3,960 pounds. This size will be 31.6 inches tall which is about 1-1/4 inches taller than your existing tires. It will also be a little more than 3/8 of an inch more narrow.
