Question:
I am considering the C11448 hitch for my 2018 Audi A5. I want to verify this would be ok for the convertible? Also, I have a bike rack for a 2” receiver. Would I be ok with an adapter or would you recommend I get a bike rack for a 1 1/4“ hitch since tongue weight would be reduced by 50?

There are some great options for using a bike rack with your 2018 Audi A5 Convertible, but the Curt # C11448 is only meant for use with coupe or sportback models, so it is not compatible with your vehicle. The best option for a hitch for your A5 Convertible is Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver # 391AUDA5S518. Note this option is not meant for trailer towing. Stealth Hitches does have an option for towing trailers, # 391AUDA5S518T, if you think you will need that capability down the line. Stealth Hitches are great as they preserve the factory look of your vehicle, as the hitch is not visible when not in use. Both of these Stealth Hitches use a 2" receiver opening and have a 450 lb tongue weight capacity, so they would work great with your 2" receiver bike rack and are more than capable for transporting your bikes.
