Jason, thanks for your response. I'm finally getting around to this project and decided that I am unsure as to my Yakima bike rack model. While searching my rack for any identifying information i found a sticker with numbers inside the main vertical tube... could this be the model & mfg date info I seek? Numbers: 3131 8002450 ?

If you have the Yakima DoubleDown 2 bike rack we don't have the part that you need.
If you have the Yakima DoubleDown ACE 2 bike rack, then the Replacement Adapter Sleeve for Yakima HighLite and DoubleDown Ace Bike Racks # Y8890342 is what you need.
