HI, I would like to purchase an awning for a ram dodge promaster 2500 with a 159inch wheel base. What size awning should I purchase . It has never had an awning installed before. What are the pros and cons of motorized vs manual awnings? Thank you for your response. Carol

To mount an awning on your 2016 Ram ProMaster 2500 I really like the Thule HideAway Roll Out Awning # TH620001 that is 10-5/8' long x 8-1/8' wide. This mounts directly to your ProMaster and will give you some shelter from rain, or some shade on a sunny day.
You can use the Dodge ProMaster Van Adapter # TH301649 for Thule awning # TH620001 (10 5/8') so you can mount the awning without drilling into the van.
The Thule HideAway Roll out awning is manual, and it comes with a telescoping hand crank to roll the awning in and out. I would say the big benefit of a manual awning is that there is no electronics to worry about, and it's a less involved install because there is no wiring.
The Solera RV Slide-Out Awning # LCV000165063 you referenced is for a slide out on a RV. It actually protects the top of the slide out; when the slide out box extends the awning comes with it to protect the it, and retracts with the box for storage.
