Why Does Light Stay On Prodigy P2 Brake Controller When Vehicle is Off

Question:
Why does the blue light on my P2 prodigy brake controller stay on all of the time even one vehicle is shut off. It is a 2020 Toyota Tacoma TRDR off road

The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller # 90885 will have a single blue light that stays on even when the trailer is not connected for about 15 minutes. After that the controller will go into sleep mode and no lights will be seen even though power is still going to the unit to keep your settings.
