Question:
I have a Epco Powerstop electronic brake controller that has six wires vs. the standard four. The wire colors are: green, red, black, white, blue and orange. Can you tell me what the extra two wires are for and how to wire them? Can I just leave them disconnected. Thanks,

It looks like the orange and black wires on this controller are optional functions (reverse stoplight override and illumination) not seen in modern brake controllers. You can simply tape them up and not use them.
The other wires should be as follows:
Brake Line- Blue on controller
Ground - White on controller
Stoplight - Green on controller
12V Battery - Red on controller
With that said, because PowerStop is not doing business any longer and the controller you're installing is probably10-15 years old, you may want to consider replacing it with something like the Brake EVN # TK63VR. This is a proportional controller that will provide you with real-time braking in proportion to the power applied on the brakes in your tow vehicle, which would be a nice upgrade your time delayed 500-PS.
I've linked some informational videos on this controller that you may want to have a look at. If you can let me know what your tow vehicle is, I can possibly find you a plug in adapter to make installation easier.
