Measuring Gooseneck Trailer for Storage Cover Compatibility

Question:
You have the instructions for measure a bumper pull on the gooseneck option. I presume we measure from the connector to back. But wanted to double check. Thank you

The Gooseneck trailer have a outside measurement that goes past the coupler. You will measure from front edge to rear edge. The Adco SFS AquaShed Cover for Gooseneck Horse Trailer - Up to 31-1/2' Long - Gray # 290-46013 is designed for gooseneck trailers between 28'7" and 31'6" long.

My horse trailer is 8.5’ wide which includes fenders. The width I’m seeing only accommodates 80” wide. Am I reading that correctly? I have mixed feelings about getting this as I am seeing a fair amount of reviews stating they didn’t hold up.
