Question:
What is the tensile breaking strength in lbs for this product? I am looking for a net to withstand 4-6 thousand lb before breaking.

I spoke with the manufacturer, and they have not tested for a weight capacity of the SportRack Safari Cargo Net with Bag for Roof Mounted Baskets, 40 x 35 inches, part # SR0033. It is not a heavy-duty net, and is only designed to be used as a covering net for a roof rack or cargo carrier. The carriers usually have a capacity lower than 500 pounds; this net is not designed for use with up to 6,000 pounds of cargo. All of the nets we offer are designed as top nets for cargo carriers or truck beds. At this time, we do not offer any heavy-duty nets with the strength you are looking for.
