Can I Reuse the Metal Portion of my Awning with the New Slide Topper?
Updated 06/24/2020 | Published 06/23/2020 >
Question:
I was looking at LCV000163301 in white. My current topper has a metal beginning that covers the fabric when the slide out is closed. Do I reuse the metal portion of the old awning?

Expert Reply:
The Solera Slide-Topper, part # LCV000163301, does not require the use of the metal weather guards, but since you have them already, It would not hurt to keep them installed to help further the life of the new fabric. The channel of the awning rail is about 3/8 inch wide to hold onto the fabric for comparison to your weather guards.
