Where Does Curt Hitch for 2017 Audi Q3 Install Relative to the Exhaust of the Vehicle

Question:

Hello. I have a few questions on the installation of of Curt Class III hitch on an Audi Q3. The instructions don’t detail if the cross bar on the hitch sits below or on top of the muffler on my vehicle. Either way, there is no room for it to fit under or below. Sitting below, the the muffler to pushed up as high as it can go, the hitch still needs to go up 5” but there is only approx. 1” of space between the hitch and the bottom of the muffler.

The crossbeam of the Curt hitch # C13238 for your 2017 Audi Q3 sits behind and above the muffler of your vehicle once it's installed. It's hard to see how everything fits together in the instructions.
