Question:
I have a 56 Chevy with a 632 cu in big block and 2-88mm turbos. The tranny is a 4L80E with a 3500 convertor. It is driven on the street a lot as well as raced from time to time. Will the D13403 keep the trann y temp at a reasonable temp in 90 degree heat?

The issue you are going to run into using a standard transmission cooler like the Derale 19-Row Stacked-Plate Transmission Cooler Kit part # D13403 is that it would need to be installed behind the grille, in front of the radiator. This is perfectly doable for most standard applications but in your case you cannot afford to take airflow away from the radiator and intercooler so what you need to go is go with a remote mount option, the Derale Hyper-Cool Remote Transmission Cooler Kit w/ Fan part # D15960. This is going to be a must for your setup, especially when you are at the track where you won't really have air flow to cool the transmission fluid until you are already half way down the track.
