No Power on the Running Light Circuit on a 2000 Chevy Silverado z71 Towing a Boat Trailer

Question:
The running lights dont work, blinkers and brake lights are fine. I checked for a blown fuse in the fuse panel, there is no blown fuse. the running lights are OK on the vehicle. I am not getting any voltage on any of the connection points on the 7-pole receiver connector, I have good continuity on the ground connector post. I eliminated any problems in the 7 to 4 pole adapter. I also eliminated any problems with the trailer. Is there an inline fuse on the running light circuit other than the factory panel that you might be aware of ?2000 chevy silverado z71 pickup, 7 pole to 4-pole adapter for boat trailer

There is a possibility of a relay or fuse related to tow package wiring either in the power distribution box or in the in-cab fuse panel that you can check. Look in the vehicle owners manual for all fuse and relay locations and check those.
If the running light circuit shows no power on the 7-Way on the truck then that does eliminate the problem as being with the trailer. On the chance that it may be related to the trailer, it would most likely be a ground issue. You can check all the grounds on the trailer to make sure they are attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces.
Also check the trailer and vehicle connectors for dirt and corrosion and clean them out. Corrosion can also build up behind the connectors where the wires attach.
