Question:
Do I need additional mounting on this trailer for my kayaks?

On the Yakima Rack and Roll trailer, # Y08107, you will want to use a compatible kayak carrier unless you do not mind the kayaks sitting directly on the bars. I recommend a couple sets of foam blocks, # RL100K10, because they are cost effective and they come with bow and stern tie downs to secure the kayaks to the trailer.
If your kayaks are longer than 17 feet, you will want to add the tongue extension, # Y08109, so the kayaks do not make contact with the tow vehicle. I have included a couple of video links on the trailer for you.
