Are Taylor Made Boat Gas Struts Multi-Positional

Question:
I’m looking for a strut that I can use on a boat hatch, but I want to be able to open it and set how high it remains open: Not just open to the full extension. What type of strut mechanism does this?

We do carry boat hatch marine gas shock struts by Taylor Made like part # 3691838 but they are not stop and start or multi positional unfortunately. The shock would have to say stop and start or multi-positional to work the way you are explaining. I have attached a link of the Marine gas struts we have available.
