Question:
I spoke with an expert last week through etrailer, and I purchased the 50 amp epic prod battery disconnect as recommended for my 1997 Coleman pop up camper, with 2 6 volt batteries connected in series. My question is, should the disconnect go to positive or negative side of the battery? I know the video on your side for the product explains to connect it on positive, but online I’ve read that it should be connected on negative Does it make a difference and can you explain why

Expert Reply:
You'd want to install the disconnect on the positive leg, if you grounded the negative leg and the circuit was accidentally grounded, damage could occur. Interrupting the positive leg would prevent this from happening.
We recommend installing the switch as shown in the video I've linked for you.
