Expert Reply:
In order to flat tow a 2012 Chevrolet Silverado you will need base plates, a tow bar, flat-tow wiring harness, and safety cables. In some states a supplemental braking system is also needed though this is not a required component. I have attached some recommendations below as well as a list of our supplemental braking systems.
Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit part # 3154-3
Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar part # RM-520
RoadMaster 68" Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables part # RM-643
Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit part # RM-15267
