Can You Lift a 2008 Dodge Ram with Firestone Air Bags Installed

Question:

Can you safely lift the truck on a lift? The air springs limit suspension before the shocks do. Will this damagithe air bag or rip it apart?

The Firestone Ride-Rite Air Helper Springs part # F2299 which are a fit for a 2008 Dodge Ram will allow you to lift the truck by the frame, letting the axles hang free. The reason for this is that the airbags use a crimp rolled designed so this means the connection is very strong and there won't be damage letting them hang free like there would be for other options like Air Lift air bags which use a band clamp design. I have attached for you below a note from the manufacturer on the above as well.

"If it is necessary to lift the vehicle by the frame, first release the air pressure from the air springs. This will allow the air springs to extend to their maximum length without being damaged. The uninflated air springs are capable of supporting the weight of the axle when the vehicle is lifted by the frame. After servicing of the vehicle is complete, lower the vehicle to the ground and reinflate the air helper springs to the desired pressure"
